I Want To Say

If ye lend me your ear today, Here, something new I want to say. Tales wide open and still unknown, Of shattered stars I want to say. Of day-to-day commonplace life, No hoary tales I want to say. Not about that old clever crow, Tale of a let down stork, today. Of fairy tales, nor of their dreams, Of common dreams done to dust, say. Of a guy who owned up the blame, Looked blissful still when hanged, I'd say. Not tales of freedom and triumph, Of common man's travails, today. 09.16.2020
