I Wander the Desert Alone
Yesterday I had a dream
I was lost, feeling thirst, alone
Wandering in a barred desert
While the curtain of the night fell upon me…
I had no destination, no compass, no goal
Nothing to guide me besides my will to survive
Every little sound scared me
I was terrified of things that could bump me in the night
While I stumbled through the dunes, shivering from the cold,
The moon shone bright and I saw a dark figure
Riding a powerful horse and calling my name…
In my crazy stupor, I started running towards him
I knew he was my savior, my destiny, my Oasis
He was the other half of my soul…
Only in his arms I would be whole again…
When I got close, he pulled me into his horse
And held me tight in his arms…
And finally…
I felt alive again…
