I Wander the Desert Alone
I thirst to see a land of wealth,
I thirst to find comfort,
But to quench that thirst from a drop dew,
I thirst even more.
I ramble across a cruel land – a land where sun dominates.
Alone on a barren land of nothingness,
I walk on the sands… so harsh and cruel,
Hoping… an oasis would come by.
The heat of the day… it forever rules,
Here, in this barren land.
The silence… broken by the crumbling sands,
That pass beneath my feet.
I gasp and rave and hunger and thirst,
For that oasis that’ll come no more.
But none relieves me – to find just one,
In this barren waste I roam.
