I Walked Up To Heaven

I walked up to heaven I found other humans alive there They were simply Enoch, Elijah, and Mary, mother of Jesus And of course Jesus himself I was there in the midst Of the greatest people That has ever lived And one of divine power Holy above all save God himself His all-powerful father I was in awe of their presence Just then I was told To return to Earth It wasn’t my time to be there Plus I must die To enter the kingdom of God I walked back home With a smile on my face Enjoying what I just saw An amazing scene Seeing those living humans Staying up in heaven So very special and unique I was just glad to have seen it Russell Sivey

The concept of entering heaven alive (called by various religions "ascension", "assumption", or "translation") is a belief held by multiple religions and traditions. Very nice, delightful and satisfactory write dear poet.

Fascinating walk up the staircase and back down my friend. Or did you take that elevator? :) In all serious though, a great write that makes one feel the awe as if he or she were there. Great poem.
