I Took a Chance

I took a chance; Told you how I feel Showed my hand; My heart revealed This wasn't the plan; Meant to dance slow But holding you there; Girl, I had to know I took a chance; Just let my secrets fly Your face says it all; We're dancing goodbye This wasn't the plan; When I said, I love you Your heart would melt; You'd say, I love you too I took a chance; Just let my secrets fly Your face says it all; We're dancing goodbye You're in my arms; I have no regrets We have this song; And it's not over yet So I close my eyes; Dream sweet romance When time stands still; Glad I took a chance ~Lyric Man Note: I wanted to write a little song about a guy who took a chance, made himself vulnerable, telling a girl how he feels about her... and without a word being spoken he knows they are dancing goodbye. And yet, he can live in the now and just for the moment.. focus on the girl in his arms!

Life is about "taking a chance"! Though it is bitter, you make it sweet! Seize the day, seize the moment, be who You are! do what you strongly feel and believe in.. but assume full responsibility! Taking a chance always come with risk. I'm reminded of the saying, tis better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all. A very well written piece in my humble opinion.
