Notes About The Poem

I Surrender

I Surrender
 

You touch my mind with penetrating thoughts
   and hunger that propels me to embrace,
with passions of the heart, at times distraught...
   emotions that enfold me in their grace.
   
No turning back once our affair begins;
   surrendering...the only choice there is.
The hunter and the hunted, we like twins,
   bind close together to create our bliss.

But, as in love, fulfillment brings the joy
   when words and thoughts unite in final goal,
this poetess grasps you to hold, enjoy;
   together become one in heart and soul.

All I can do...surrender all of me...
   succumb to love affairs with poetry.
