I Shall

I shall raise my voice
When faced with bigotry, hatred or injustice
I shall raise my voice
When being tread upon
I shall raise my voice
When others remain silent through fear
I shall raise my voice
When the weak are attacked
I shall raise my voice
When the poor are oppressed
I shall raise my voice
When democracy turns to dictatorship
I shall raise my voice
If you are in distress
I shall raise my voice
If I feel you are hurting
I will whisper
When I am no longer here
