I see Him when

Not when my soul stays from me far apart, Nor see with eyes, but with what dormant lies, I see God in souls struggling to rise, When my soul’s mute, a mere witness in heart, Forlorn and lost as lone tree in desert, In mother's selfless love I sure see him, In dreams she dreams that few care to redeem, Seen clear if mind's mirror’s made clean of dirt, I oft see God in man's selfless judgment, In a poor man's precious last piece of bread That he feeds a hungry dog, heart with head, In every life from ants to elephant, See Him on plants, in thorns much as in rose, In friends, feel-hearts much as aliens and foes. __________________________________________ Sonnet |12.05.2015| God, spiritual
