Curtis, this poem so much reminded me of the great Ethel Waters and her beautiful rendition of the song, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". You too had an eye on a sparrow and I know the sparrow was grateful --- if that is possible --- to have been spared by you. Over and above the sparrow's gratefulness is your genuine love and care of God's Creation. Congratulations on your win.

Curtis, I love his. The only reason it didn't place higher is because on the second line the syllable count is wrong (I think) lol Anyway, congratulations on your placement and thanks for entering my contest. Charlie
