I Remember

You 
                                                         thrill me 
                                                     with your love
                                                      never spoken 
                                             though strong and so real 
                                             I've come alive once more   
                                                I am uplifted with you 
                                          as though my life is worth living  
                                         If only I could find the right words   
                                      to say thank you for always being here 

                                        

                                      I awake finding you have not returned 
                                      and that many years have passed us by
                                           Though sleep is like so long ago 
                                          when we were young and in love  
                                                and nothing could stop us 
                                                         Yes I remember  
                                                    your smile, laugh, kiss 
                                                           now buried 
                                                             Peaceful 
                                                                Rest
