I posted a poem on soup


I posted a poem on soup
Excited to hear from the group
When no one stopped by
I started to cry
I guess that my poem was poop

I read till my eyes become sore
Leave comments on hundreds or more
Old poets and new
That’s just what I do
So why do so many ignore

I thought I had paid all my dues
My poem so many would choose
But no one was there
The cupboard was bare
Except for a big bunch of views

I hoped on this site I would fit
Though now I think that I should quit
And that’s just my luck
It must mean I suck
Or nobody else gives a … flying rat’s butt

I generally give tit for tat with comments. I don't know if you care for my excuses, but (1) I'm lightheaded these days. "Another Point of View" and the likes is what I thrive on. (2) The type of love I identify with these days is grandchildren. At first I was entertained by this poem, then it got sad. My poem "Selfie Query" advises you to keep it up.
