I Open My Eyes

Awakening I avoided going to bed for several hours But morning is here anyway I feel punished But that's me narrating a silent movie Tiredness isn't helpful He turned over Just before he got up I thought "you're all I want" but I didn't speak It's not acceptable Who knows if that's him or me 'This' certainly isn't I know the cycle There's the days that will pass The words and looks will be nasty I watch on Just watching it play out Wondering what I conclude The actions They don't belong to the truth spoken These actions speak, so I cover my ears I want to believe In one of your revelations Let one last long enough for me to decide All my life Has been surrounded by daisies The petals with answers spinning too quickly
