I Never Understood

For years he knew it was coming it was no surprise He had lots of time to tie loose ends to say the things he’d never said and leave his message to the world Yet he deliberately decided to leave in total silence just disappear with no last word As if he wanted his departure subtle quiet without a ripple in the pond I was hurt when my father passed away I never understood why he didn’t say goodbye AP: 3rd place 2020 Posted on February 17, 2020

Because parting is such sweet sorrow. I am sure he was overcome with the journey he was undertaking. I bet he talks to every day now.

they never truly leave- my grandfather still watches over me- his loss hurts still but your words are so powerful, bless you Line, love. Julie

I think when people stay quiet, they are making a very strong statement. And not saying goodbye, why would he? you'll see him again my friend. Very nice work!
