I Need a Vacation

There’s nothing terrific, About being prolific The mind goes on overload, But the body has really slowed I need a vacation, Some beach rejuvenation In Mexico, I confess No more, no less Bye - Bye Don't cry!

Dear Milton, I have been so sporadic in my poetry these last two years with my own and my husband's health woes that I just visited your page and learned of your passing. I am so ashamed I was not more attentive so I would have known of your illness. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you. God Bless my friend. JB

Okay dokey! Im all packed and ready to go with you…my Southwest Airlines jet here is still, well, for the 3rd round, being de-iced, but they’ve got that new hit TV tragi-comedy, “Congress,” on while we wait. All my luggage is carry-on. You didn’t say exactly where to join you, but i may be reached by SpMail anytime. New Year hugs! sally

Milt, I'm so saddened by your leaving! You were, and always will be, a great writer, poet, friend, mentor, and teacher, but mostly a great person with a way of touching those who needed it most. May you forever rest in peace with your beloved wife Debra. Vickie Hurtt-Thayer

Dear Milton, I just heard this morning of your passing. You were such a diversified poet and kind man. We all will miss you so much here. Its good to hear that you transitioned peacefully and may God be with your family during this grieving period and comfort their hearts with fond memories of the times you shared together.

Milton my friend I can see you and Deborah holding hands as your walking on the beach in Mexico with her now. This poem has a clever message. I believe Milton new something more than meets the eye and this was his farewell goodbye. May you enjoy being comforted again by your love Deborah. So long my friend...

" Bye - Bye, don't cry! " It takes reading between the lines, sometimes. So many hints along the way, that your health was declining. Even though I didn't comment on your poetry much, you were always so kind, when I lingered upon your poetry page. That means so much to me. Your words live on, my dear friend. You're gone, but not forgotten. ~ Brandy

I hardly knew you, Milton, but I knew you were the most venerable of all the wise poet souls. I read many of your poems and learned much about forms and finding the right words for them. We exchanged some political views. You were always a gentleman. I developed lots of respect for you. I entered your contests... lol... just to try something new. I've a tear in my eye. I'm sure going to miss you. Enjoy your vacation, good Sir.
