I May Be All She Has
I cannot imagine the life she has had.
Or the things she has endured at the hands of her relatives.
I cannot imagine not trusting anyone ever
Yet it has been truly difficult for her
to trust anyone
I gain a tiny bit of her trust and we become friends.
She takes advantage of me over and over and over again.
I forgive each time
For I cannot imagine the life she has had.
Or the things she has endured.
So I forgive
And she takes
And we
Remain friends.
After all, I may be all she has.
