I Love Your Healing Presence: Tristich Series
a day begun as a pastor's day ought -
gratitude to God for grace galore, communing with colleague
who needs a miracle - which it is easier and easier for me to expect
Most Respected Poet and Writer, you too are a healer -
like growing babies before they talk (or claim a name. Then all the toys)
You have a humane Presence; if you pray for others, they will KNOW it
Take a moment: highlight an unusually relaxing moment today-
For dinner veggies, I drove five miles to my friend's garden (at his second home)
God, in His CHESED#, allows me this healthy connection, with a non-Christian
my day ended rather prosaicly, yet I think of Jesus constantly
for both land and life need healing - mindful walk and talk - easy enough
but sadly, my poems declare, education prepares us to exploit, not bless
talking about Jesus always - never entered my academic career -
Both Love and Provision took me His Way: now peace is loving my Savior -
And He drops joy in my path. In return, He asks us to forgive ALL in His Creation
# Note: CHESED is Hebrew for "loving-kindness" and GRACE is a synonym; but otherwise English cannot convey the depth of Hebrew ideas. Shalom!
