I Love You
I love you in death, as in life
You are no longer here but I feel you
I reach out at night in my empty bed
Life goes on, but it will never be the same
I reach out to show you things we cannot share
I love you in death, as in life
You fill my waking hour and calm my soul
I hear your words and still learn
I walk down new paths uplifted and filled with life
So many mountains still yet to climb and conquer
I love you in death as in life
And I will carry our dreams forward so they breathe
Nothing can ever replace the wings you gave me
I soar like an eagle to far and distant lands
Our time together gives meaning to my every waking day
I love you in death as in life
