I Know Where You Are
I know where you are my dear friend
I myself have been there time and again
The burdens we face the pain every day
Makes it so hard to keep a smile on your face
Take One step forward then get pushed back two
it's a struggle each day just to get through
Morning comes the pain stifles your muse
You want to write but it's difficult to move
But be of good cheer my dear sweet friend
It's only temporary it will soon come to an end
The pain will subside your muse will return
You'll burn up the pages word by word
You will feel so good you'll no longer be week
But your pen will cry out I need a break
So you'll put that one down and grab one that's new
Because you will remember what you struggled through
So keep looking forward don't lose heart my friend
Because someday soon you will be well again.
Keep the faith; God will get you through
