I Dreamed To Soar High

I dreamed to soar high Singling sensation with tingling passion arose. Romance roamed, rolled to commit: ‘We won’t be apart.’ Unfolding your fervent feeling you came too close. I dreamed to soar high. My ardent ardor was honored with your red rose. Emotion was entwined from you to my heart My bubbling blood was flooded: You dared to propose. Storm of betrayal and meanness suddenly rose All the doors of my hardened heart were bound to shut. Pretty poetry drooped to dreary dull depressed prose. I dreamed to soar high. 03/04/19 'Writing Challenge Feb 2019 Roundel Form' Contest by Dear Heart

Interesting work. Good contrast in the lines. Thanks for dropping by. Reads like a good contender for the contest. Sara
