I Do Need You Lord, But Why

Forsaken prayer time, as shattered mirrors retract horrid rapes, bullets, suicide misses and deadly kisses evoke shame in halls etched with bloody sins, again; I cannot pray away the stench of forlorn choices and voices of disgust, I trust no man, I understand the flesh detest righteousness-best suited for the accused. Yet, I refuse to seek the meek will God founded before the foundation of the a world, before Adam and Eve thus walked and the serpent still stalks weak vows allowed to ponder vacant hearts unsaved, unscathed bathing in ridicule for so long; so- long I search with remorse the course I took The love I forsook, the book I need now. Now my lungs expand with praise raised to fly As heaven resonates with Holy cries! Holy is the Lamb of God...Praise our God!

Really like this poem. The line "I cannot pray away the stench of forlorn choices and voices of disgust" is lovely and so aesthetic.

Beautiful praise poem, Sona! Lift your pen voice high and keep on singing, Alleluia. Love and more love always.
