I Could

I could write of stellar
skies -- Really I could!
Could write of lozenge
moons~ of over-saturated
beams, arriving and departing,
concentrates of extra sweetened,
totally addicting, poetically
whipped creams:

(unfold, eerie immaterial, cobwebby
tightly creased seams, of long
seeming ever taboo gleams -- )

I could write...really I could!
compose glitter, like diamonds,
a huge, full jar -- Aladdin Stories,
fantastical adventures from romantic
afar -- I could strum a string strung
between, distant star and my near,
dear, sparkly guitar --

rather savor your toffee lips
chocolate licks like a Mar's Bar....

OMG, Joe! As time passes, i more strongly believe in the force of the collective unconscious! Just posted my poem BEFORE READING ANY PSp poems. So ‘ya think God posts a “prompfor Today” via telepaty mail? Hmmm Your poem here is very very cool. I love Toffee, too. Hugs, sally

Thank you, Kim; my main computer is down, so, using laptop to reply. Very old one. A bit out of my element here, but starting to get the hang of the keyboard again. And the tiny screen. When I get computer up and running again, redo operating system, no more auto-updates...they screw things up with bad files sometimes.

Dear Joe,This is absolutely enchanting! Your imagery is so vivid, from the "lozenge moons" to the "glitter like diamonds," each line feels like it’s dipped in a dream-like sweetness. The playfulness with the idea of "writing" makes the poem feel like a journey of possibility, while the sensual shift at the end brings it all to a delightful, intimate close. The combination of cosmic beauty and personal longing creates a mesmerizing atmosphere. Truly captivating!
