I Cannot Go Into a Library
Libraries are great if you are a time keeper. I am not.
My last fine was over two hundred dollars.
I do not use a library because I do not give back their books.
After I read them, they become MY books.
Some have been packed up and traveled state to state with me.
I kept thinking I would outgrow this need to make them my own,
but I have not yet.
So I force myself to walk past a library,
Not go inside and not get a card.
I am probably on the FBI’s most wanted list anyway.
Library Felon. Do not check out to her.
Hey! Is that a library?
It would not hurt to take a peek, right?
