I Can See a Blur
All I can see is a blur
As the visitor of grief returns
Tears fall on lined pages
As a pen tries to find words
I need you to come back
But, that won’t happen
I sit in a chair, shocked
But, feel like I am wandering
In the graveyard again
Searching, for your grave
There is no time between
Only you, would understand
Not the blackbirds I heard
Not anyone to talk to now
Thrown back in a moment
So familiar, but true
I must keep stepping forward
Without my partner
As my heart, rips apart again
It’s beating fast and burning
Lack of closure, is the knife
Sharpened by the those who
Sent you to heaven
Before it was your time
