I Awake To Darkness (Part 6)

I awake to the spirits saying that I’m foolish for what I’ve done
I look up and falling from the sky is my great grandfather’s gun
They tell me to pick it up and end both of our lives
I tell the spirits to hold their tongues because they are what I despise
They are now confused and are wondering what will happen
I reach for the girl’s hand and she gives a heartwarming grin
We begin to walk through the never-ending forest
And the spirits tell me that I must continue with my quest
I agree with them this time and arrive back on my path
Then the girl bursts out in a beautiful laugh
I ask her what could possibly be so funny
She said my hair was shaped like the ears of a bunny
I felt a little embarrassed so we stopped at a river
And then a cool breeze came and gave my spine a shiver
We grabbed each others hands and then we took off
The mood of the forest was no longer soft
It began to fill with a horrible mood of rage and hate
As we were running in front of us was standing a giant gate
We reached the gate and broke its giant chains
Then the forest started moaning of a heart wrenching pain
The girl and I had closed the gate that was now behind us
Turning around we both saw a house that was covered in moss
The energy that was emitted from this grand building
It gave the girl and I a sort of tiring feeling
We both sat down and rested our heads
On a moss covered wall that became our bed
The scent in the air was of the girl
I fell asleep and I’m now in another world…

Interesting twist with the spirits' change of attitude. I think there is still something coming perhaps difficult to face. Thanks for leaving me hanging... :), can't wait to read part 7. The writing is so well done and all that in rhyme! This is fantastic. Are you planning to write a book? Thanks for sharing. I guess you got yourself a fan. :) Read you later, Caroline.
