I Am Not Living Like That

I Am Not Living Like That! Music was rockin', deep dreams my mind was bakin' She was callin', her leaving words had me shakin' She was gone like the clouds when I woke myself up I felt life fallin' into a bottomless cup! Front door open, dog resting on the new table I was crawlin', and so damn proud to be able Something she said, before hitting me with that bat "To hell with you, I am not living like that"! Music was rockin', deep dreams my mind was bakin' She was callin', her leaving words had me shakin' Music had stopped playin', did I ever truly care Gone was great cooking and that beautiful blonde hair Now I missed times, when she softly touched me like that Until bloody head reminded me of that bat! Something she said, before hitting me with that bat "To hell with you, I am not living like that"! Something she said, before hitting me with that bat "To hell with you, I am not living like that"! I agree with Silent One, Robert. She must have been mad to hit you (or anyone) with a bat:( I'd say that last line with you:)

THANK YOU, she was stone cold beautiful but hot tempered and a bit mean when angry. I missed her touch, great cooking , long blonde hair and billion dollar smile. But she was hard on the drugs and often got a bit too rough to put up with. Great person when not on drugs..

Had an old girlfriend like that but her weapon of choice was a six iron, that'll leave a mark...Loved it Robert.

HAHA, made me laugh just thinking about t my friend. I bet it did leave one shining helluva mark!!! Some beautiful sexy women are tough. And take no kind of guff off of any guy.. and some are vicious...

Very hyper. Poetry was meant to define something. You most certainly did!

Thank you. Follies of youth and failed relationships.. Story as far too long to tell all but this reveals the end of it and how a stone cold fox, so pleasing the eye, mind and heart, can be wickedly bad and even violent. We live and learn if we but survive..

Oh MY! I didn't expect this, Robert. Truly, a different type of poem by you. To be hit with a bat will bring clarity, indeed! ;) Hugs...Hope you had a great Christmas

I wrote many types in my youth....Was exploring a bit my friend. I guess this turned out ok, I almost tossed it in the trash when editing it to present here.
