I Am I Was

The hole in my soul has finally gone As my years of joy and sadness have passed I awaken now to a dimmer dawn And wonder how long my days and nights last Tomorrow is another sunset seen Yesterday's are full of memories made It's from them I find the wisdom I glean To see tomorrow as rendered inlaid For there will be a day when I will go And for a time some will remember me I will have no grave, my ashes will blow Across barren meadows, no one will see As time passes I will have never been Nor will I ever pass this way again 10/13/21

Ah dear Frederic, as we grow old we realize we will not return to the footprints of yesterday, but we will bring with us all the memories of how we market the sand with our bare feet. Your heart and soul is so poetic, I love this about you, Have a great evening, thankyou for gracing my page
