I Am Bored With Nothing

I am bored with nothing, for my life is filled with love and joy and things to do. At times I’m dealing with a lot of strife, but boredom surely beats my feeling blue! I hear kids tell their parents, “I’m so bored.” It’s maddening they can’t see that time’s a crook. So much to do! Just how can they afford to whine? I’d tell them, “Just go read a book!” There’s music, dancing, sports, one’s own four walls, hobbies, internet, and of course TV; restaurants, gyms, tourist places, shopping malls, service projects, hobbies, friends and family! Feel lonesome, mad, annoyed, or simply floored, but never let me hear you say you’re bored! Written by Andrea Dietrich For Linda-Marie's Contest

Oh, I resonate with this one! Better busy than bored is my motto, and sounds like it is for you too. My kids knew better than to ever say they were bored around me because they'd get put to work, haha! Love this real-life account sonnet.

I thought I commented on this earlier, Andrea, but it appears the Soup is changing the listing of comments again. Being bored is often a sign of depression. There are many things in life to pursue that can bring us pleasure. Agree fully with the message here! Congratulations on your win, Love, Carolyn

We grew up on a farm and if you ever said you were bored there was always chores to do. Especially weeding the garden or even worse cleaning out the barn. ha ha. Kids nowadays have all types of games, computers, tv, and still say they are bored. Thanks for the photos they were excellent. Will be hard to pick a fav. as you will want all of them. love phyl

I am sort of reminded with something that I wrote about not being bored before-- yup, when you come to think of it, we really have no reason to be bored...heehee although you might be floored with the first thought that popped to mind when I saw this contest, lol O_O hugs to you sweetie-- & trying oh so trying to come up with something for Nette's contest...thanks for dropping by :D

Oie! Love the last two lines, Andrea. Children sometimes think that not having an exterior stimuli= boredom. If I say I'll find them something to do, they'll remember they'd other plans. "times a crook" but is never arrested..thank goodness! Happy Easter to you and yours!! Mikki
