I Am Bored With Nothing
I am bored with nothing, for my life
is filled with love and joy and things to do.
At times I’m dealing with a lot of strife,
but boredom surely beats my feeling blue!
I hear kids tell their parents, “I’m so bored.”
It’s maddening they can’t see that time’s a crook.
So much to do! Just how can they afford
to whine? I’d tell them, “Just go read a book!”
There’s music, dancing, sports, one’s own four walls,
hobbies, internet, and of course TV;
restaurants, gyms, tourist places, shopping malls,
service projects, hobbies, friends and family!
Feel lonesome, mad, annoyed, or simply floored,
but never let me hear you say you’re bored!
