I Already Know

There is nothing more I need to know I already know that you mean it Wrapped in colorful ribbons of trust That decorate all that we share My instincts led me on a path to you Your actions showed me all that is true My intuition is a knowing of what is right We are right Your love is a blessing I will always cherish Near or far, you will comfort my soul I trust myself, just as I trust you We are bound by true friendship, deep love It is something beyond any explanation These words on a piece of paper for a poem Can only scribble the edges of a soulful connection Shared by you and I, shared like a sunrise or sunset Never to be seen in the same way again You don’t have to show me that you mean it I already know Heidi Sands 11/30/19 Placed 7th in the Love me like you mean it poetry contest.
