Hunter's Tales
"THE HUNTER'S TALES"
By: Nwankwo Leviz
Don't mind the tattoos
On my gun,for it's designs
I have tattooed on my body too,
Don't pull the trigger under this wood
For only the gods knows where I have
Crafted mine.
Don't mind the voices I hear in the dark,
For the gods gave me an anthem to recite.
Don't mind the echoes of laughter In the dark,
For an elderly ghost also have their stories to
tell,I am a hunter who sees the heart of the night and I have some tales to tell too.
I wander through the bushes in the night when
The lazy souls of men has gone nigh to rest.
I know the secrets of the ghost which I was instructed never to tell,I know the Wonders in
Their talking drum if ever beaten three times.
I am the only hunter who knows their tales to tell.and that I promised to keep too.
Don't mind the deers than run so fast for am
Yet to adjust my target, don't mind the sounds
That woke the river goddess, they knows am yet
To sign out, don't mind the obstacles I pass through to bring meat home, for the gods knows my name,am just a hunter who knows the Psalms of the gods and have vowed never
To tell.
