Human Error

A medical claim was denied; Insurance could not be applied. So I got a bill But won’t pay until All research has been satisfied. An hour of phone calls ensues; My patience I’m starting to lose But finally – yes! Someone cleans up the mess And my anger begins to defuse. It seems that an error was made, Attention to detail not paid. My insurance I.D. Has a 6, not a 3 So the claim, first denied’s now delayed. But at least a solution was found After getting a slight run-around. If you have to get sick Here’s a good little trick – Check to see if the paperwork’s sound.

Lucky you! As an American, I am required to file an American income tax return even though I earn and pay taxes in another country. When I filed $A for my Australian earnings, someone in Ogden IRS did not bother to ask what it meant and dropped the A, resulting in 11-years and thousands of dollars in costs of litigation, so you are indeed lucky it was healthcare and not a government error! Aloha!

We moved, and the hospital kept sending bills to our old address, which did not get forwarded (this went on for years), and then when we finally got notification, it was from collection companies. Three times, we spent hours with the hospital, trying to get our mailing address updated, and three times, it got messed up! I know your pain!!!
