Hubble
He trawls the wide cosmos
in infinite sway,
precocious prodigy scanning
the milky way,
a worldly net of technology
buoyant far and wide,
surf’s universal waves
the cosmic tide,
god’s gift to ergonomics
this silicon chip,
invisible beam tacked
upon it’s celestial trip.
To pursue distant knowledge
cloaked in verbal art,
desire evidence,
a galaxy to impart,
an ancient form of life
a labyrinth of care,
cultivated society,
ready to share..
A return fare a dispatch
maybe the ticket,
desperate to unlock,
mankind’s barren wicket?
