How Long
How long have you been
Didn’t you look at the Great Bear,
Didn’t you look up at Orion
And waited for a golden shooting star?
For how long, I add,
Have you not sought beauty,
In Cassiopeia’s black eyes,
Weren’t you stung by the white Scorpion?
How long have I been saying
Have you not sought your soul in heaven,
She who rolls like a burning stone,
In the constellation of the Dragon?
Don’t tell me, I guess,
I’m guessing, you forgot that,
That you are too tired by time, working,
To answer my irrelevant question.
