How do you know you live when you are not certain? Is it the slow, or very fast beat under your hand resting on your chest? Is it the faint notion of movement in your legs; The ticklish feeling (you didn't know still existed) on your calves? How do you know you live? Is it for the deep feelings in the abyss of sometimes inky darkness? Or the light fluttering butterflies? Or the sunrays playing with light and words that tumble and crumble and make their own stubborn way onto paper? Is it for voices friendly penetrating your darkness and tearing you out and up? How do you know you live?

Wow, Darren. I can see the evolution of your work and particularly love the insight you've brought here. I can totally see this being an epic poem with many, many verses, you know? I'm not critiquing. It's Great! Marking it as a fav." Is it for the deep feelings/in the abyss of sometimes/inky darkness?" Eloquent, elegant. I think not comparing or competing oneself to others and being happy with yourself is where perhaps trust and respect live, but that's The Tao. I'm merely a vessel

Wesley, critiquing is fine, I can have it. And you are right, and I will consider building this into a larger epic poem... Never compare to others, indeed. I am looking for that why and how of living inside myself and my own actions. Thanks for everything, and for the fav. - Darren

Some days we don't know as if we are out there and nobody even notices...I guess it has to be in the friendly voices that make us feel good about ourselves.

Often I wonder if I exist or is this all a dream I will wake from someday and start all over again. Very thought provoking Darren. Nicely done.

Your reply got eaten because, just as Nietzsche said, when you eat long from the bowl of Soul, the Soup eats also into you.

I think we are, in a way :) But we can question it all in our poems and share the wonder.
