Painting by Saatchi

Her happiness and joy are not contained. Held frozen with delight of what she sees, her shaking hands now hide her smiling face except for twinkling eyes that say it all. "How can this be?" shows clearly in her eyes. So many years have passed, yet he is here. She lived her life with emptiness that led to days of searching, always unfulfilled. And here before her, true as true can be, that part of her she never came to know; that mystery that robbed her life's full joy, amazingly appears before her eyes. Her father who she searched for all her life now stands in front of her, alive and well. Sandra M. Haight ~2nd Place~ Contest: Poems That Paint A Picture Sponsor: Silent One Unrhymed Sonnet Judged: 09/13/2017 Saatchi named this painting, "Bliss." I also interpreted surprise and joy on her face before I saw the title.
