I liked the song that said that line, "If I told you that you had a lovely body, would you hold it against me." Interesting use of it in this poem. Sara K

I have been racking my brains as to where I have heard that line. Then it came to me: Looking at the timeframe, I can only deduce that it was during my Christmas 1979 trip to the UK. That was a time when there was a heavy boycott against South Africa, especially the performing arts. It was a time when the Beatles were banned as well. Good and bad memories ...

Oh, I did not know that it was a line from a song, Sara. I hope that this does not constitute plagiarism :) I had heard this line years ago and it just popped into my mind when I was looking for something to write as an example poem for my contest.
