I'm too tired, maybe like the elves and the shoemaker I can leave this out overnight and see what happens haha

Don't take the pencil off the paper Draw the world held on a string The very last thing is the spinning plate It's all in the performance When nothing is real and you're a mark on an imagined page That's the time you should dance It's really rather dreadful That any waiting occurs at all Given the predicament of brief existence In the midst of...

Your poem resembles the drawing. Not quite finished. On the other hand, how do we know that they are unfinished. Completion is in the mind of the beholder. I like this poem.

Thank you Rose, in hindsight abandoning the poem midway kinda works given it's a one pencil line drawing. I bit like trying to say as much as you can on one breath. I've always quite liked method marks and seeing what a first draft looks like, especially with all the AI, it's interesting to see what captured first thoughts look like. Thanks for your kind words x

Hey Dilly I can draw a rocket without taking the pencil off the paper lol! but this one is a Picasso which makes it a little extra special, love your interpretation of the world on a string finishing on a spinning plate, which in turn you spin off into existential tangents, yes it is dreadful so much of our time is spent waiting on nothing to happen, profound penning as always, cheers David

Thank you David, I had to laugh this morning that I don't have any poetry elves who might finish my poems overnight. I wonder if that would be bigger than the AI debate lol. A rocket?! I'm impressed with your skills :) there was definitely scope in this drawing to carry me off on an exciting jaunt but I was way too tired and stepped off too early. Glad there was still content enough to get this comment - always appreciated
