I no longer know when we met
Just long for you to be there
Or is it here?
These are things I don't know
When parted from you
To realise things about the ground
And the air
That I stand and breathe alone
Capable of both without you
Do I lean into the morning sun
Absorb it's rays
Whilst everything else turns away
Knowing the sun spends longer elsewhere
So that is where they'll wait
I could chase the sun
Or chase you
I choose to stand and breathe
To take a moment
Recall what I did before you
Before longing
Do I know?
