Hope
You travel fast backward on time
Reach home you’ve long left behind
You see picture on wall still holds youth
Stilled in frame you discern beauty you’ve lost.
As you see past smile on face
You want present to freeze instantly
Transforming you into what you were once
You hope future will wait, but don’t know how.
