Hope
In a world of discorse and spite,
You learn to find solace in the night.
When a beautiful flower lying in the street,
Looks to you, broken and beat.
Lost in a world of pain and sorrow,
I sit and care for it through the morrow.
Each day I bring it water,
My hope.
I want to show you a land of beauty,
A brilliant world of color and dreams.
I'll present to you: a place to call home,
Planted in a pot of love and care.
Sprinkled with ashes of loved ones past,
Grow once more, my flower and live.
Until one day on a slippery slope,
Someone broke in, and stole-
My hope.
