Homecoming
(Dedication: For Clara's homecoming)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Across the sea where love awaits:
My heart and soul knows what will be;
My life story here at the gate,
Part of a whole with love I see.
For the last time a fond look back:
This home away from my true home;
Heed vivid chimes of study stack,
End of fine play with tact and tomes.
From down under, two years have flown:
Friends from school trip to these old shores;
Feel strange wonder with faces grown,
Glimpse one last grip from heartfelt core.
I fly away now homeward bound:
Heart and soul yearn for waiting arms;
No whys or hows leave foreign grounds,
My love I've earned my self-styled charms.
In just a while, a touchdown flair:
My love awaits for me right here;
My soul now styles a feisty fare,
At Changi's gate to greet fond cheer.
Home is a place where heart feels light:
All journeys end with lovely touch;
Yes time and space exult grand sight,
With lover friend to hold as such.
