Home For Thanksgiving
“I thought she meant…” murmur, murmur.
“Funniest expression I ever saw on …..”
“Remember when Aunt G…..”
I devour my turkey, stuffing and potatoes, half listening.
Ready to grab up another serving of mashed potatoes.
With this family, I feel no pressure to add to their Thanksgiving banter.
There are sixteen of us, so occasionally I laugh with them.
Keeping them off my back, and out of my hair.
Being as much a part of this crew as I ever was.
