Holiday
Funny how what seems like an age
can so quickly pass
Whilst waiting for once booked that
plane to arrive with her on board
And sadly come Thursday so to shall
5 week's blink and be missed
The only difference this time is it
will be us
Who has to return to an empty house
with something amiss
The space where once she filled now
a void a vacuum devoid of joy
Left with the only thing to temper the
unbearable silence is our own individual
thoughts running through our head
As we try to comprehend a way to
carry on as life still regardless must
go on
Despite the fact she has come and
sadly gone
But if nothing else at least she came
and that is all on her
I suppose the only thing to do is count
every second as the last and hold on
tight
And lest we not forget but remember
If distance be a unit to measure and
base our love upon
Then be that from the head to heart
As it never leaves us nor departs it is
what makes us who we are to 1 another
No matter how far away or where as
long as I am here I will always be there
