His Taboo
He thought everything he did was normal,
That no one was different from him,
He thought everyone lived with a strange set of rules,
Like living a life on a whim,
Like driving for hours, to get to the coast,
Chips, surf and wine, and then driving back,
Or giving a kiss to the one who he loved,
Pulling hair with a choke and a smack,
But the more he saw the more he knew,
Others didn’t live in his shoes,
That other folks lived a predictable life,
Not tinkering with any taboos,
So now he walks with his head in the air,
Proudly shows all the who that he is,
Proudly walks boundaries others avoid,
Proudly shows off just how he lives.
