His Spirit To Keep

His Spirit to Keep In this day, twenty-eighth of August, twenty eighteen Still, the day of mourning. Spent in tears and grief Paralysis, this cannot be true In prayer, wishing his presence Remembering all the happy times Invincible he always felt Those days were so full of love Tears on this anniversary On this day, a day of sadness Kindness in his heart for everyone Eager to please those he loved. Empty my heart for the Passion, we had. 9/27/2022 Anniversary Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Sara Kendrick

Invincible he always felt…reminds me of my dad, until close ones passed away. A beautiful tribute to your dear husband, Eve. Congratulations!

Dear Eve, I am speechless on this touching poem. It’s difficult to be with the real person before us, when we are looking over their shoulder at the past. As if the present person before us were in someway less? They are the same person in a different state. It’s up to us to find joy as things are, not as they were. This minute is now. The past~ let it go! I now the joy of accepting what is! It’s awesome. Love, Pangie xx

It is easy to try and remember the good old days, but somehow the sorrow remains. Hugs.
