Hi Constance. When I first read this I wondered if the word 'hide' referred to a camouflaged shelter that birds can be observed from but realise now from your comments that this isn't the case. Your haiku poses the question as to where birds go in winter without directly asking it in the text. It makes the reader think. I'll add that your description had me comparing Canada's winter to a washing machine movement swirling and whirling with washing but that's just my imagination :) Cheers - Gary

Gary, thank you so much for the visit and wonderful comment, that's why I love haiku, so much can be said in a few words, well in a snow storm in Canada itis like a washing machine swirling and whirling, yes the question is hanging where do the birds go.. blessings Constance

Congratulations, Constance. A model hiku...beautifully composed with a question - Where do the birds go in the snow?

Reason, thank you so much for the visit, congratulations, compliment, and comment, I like to think they find refuge in trees and bushes, dens, hollows, it always amazes me how they survive in the bitter cold of my Canadian winters, but they do somehow because when the sun comes out there they are, chirping and singing, Constance
