Hidden In Plain Sight
We know you're out there, oh beauteous moon,
although for the moment, in a cocoon,
rising again at night, to make us swoon.
Hide not your lustre dear - your touch that doth endear,
erases every fear - when you choose to appear.
Sol knows not its glow till it looks at thee,
yet feeling distant, displays dark envy,
dimming your glow by day, we wish to see.
Diminishes delight - when you hide in plain sight;
yearning deepens our plight - we have no strength to fight.
Looking skyward, we ask for but one boon,
that by day too, we feel your presence near,
so we pray to God, on a bended knee,
to wave His magic wand, making things right.
