He's Gone

Never thought it would come to this Never thought I’d miss your kiss My body aches for your caress Without you I'm just a mess You packed your bags without a word You’ve someone else now I have heard My heart aches for what we once had Silent tears fall, I feel so sad Know you’ll never be walking through my door The only thing I know for sure Is the sun will rise tomorrow Life will continue despite my sorrow You always said that you’d be mine Together forever – I fell for your line I shouldn’t have trusted your lying eyes Your tender words just a thin disguise I can’t be happy with the way things are I trusted you totally, should never let it get so far Will never believe in anyone in this way You’re out of my life forever from today Know you’ll never be walking through my door The only thing I know for sure Is the sun will rise tomorrow Life will continue despite my sorrow Jan Allison 27th July 2014

Lost love deals heavy baggage. At some long lost love airport terminal there is some lucky security guard rolling in rebound love, diving into pink lace and all kinds of sweet nothings. Ok . Im an idiot:)

Lot of heartache in this one, Jan. The sun will shine and eventually shin on this one again. Very well written, can feel the emotions. Very nice meter and rhyme, my friend.... Robert.

I love the message here, - life goes on though love is gone. Sad but 'I will survive' theme. Thanks Jan.

Jan....those lines...they look like silk and turn into a web of lies....and yet, we're caught! Love you, woman! Whatever the inspiration for this is...I feel the pain in those lines to my core. Yes, the sun will shine...but the memories remain. Hugs

You hit the nail on the head Eileen - the inspiration was from a gig i went to tonight and the line about the sun stuck in my brain so i had to get it into a lyric:-) Hugs jan xxx
