heron happiness

is the grey heron happier than me,
When he hovers over the small lake,
I have no trouble imagining it, dear neighbor,
And the raven more wicked than black, say

Is he happier than you, great poet?
I have no trouble imagining it, dear neighbor,
And the duck accompanied by sweet oranges,
His destiny ends in apotheosis, to put it better,

Is the cat striped with yellow happier?
When he walks like a Siberian tiger,
I have no trouble imagining it, dear neighbor,,
The animals look at the measure of everything,
They are much happier than you, Poet.

Sara Kendrick August 14, 2025 at 4:51 AM Well, I don't know if they are happier or are they constantly in the struggle of survival except for the domesticated animals that live in the house with us which possibly could be happier than us. Thanks for sharing the thoughts though. I have never thought of animals being happy or unhappy except for the dogs that I have had as pets.
