Hero Love
You’re a very beautiful woman and I have found myself attracted
But it’s your heart and soul that I’m inspired by
I wish that I could tell you, but I know I never will
Because I value what we have, just as friends
You didn’t have to listen, but I hardly left a choice
I was desperate, and you, were truly kind
When no one else would listen, you would tell me what you thought
You encouraged me when I said, “I want to write”
So I’m writing this in secret, cause I’m not sure how I feel
As I question my desire, is it true?
I know that I would kiss you, if you ever gave that choice
But my attraction, is more than just your lips
And though at home, and in your heart, you have a man you love
I only wish, that we were better friends
And though at home, and in my heart, I have practiced what you’ve said
And I know
What kind of man I want to be
And I know
You have been, my hero
