Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

Someone once gave me advice That same person cared More than I realized at the time Now forever a memory One slowly fading with time Know that I love you And miss you everyday My lifeline to the world. A constant unwavering presence Never will I find again One so honest and open The truth never hurt I miss everything that was What can never be again Reality in all it's glory A fading memory of wisdom Strength and courage unmeasurable Never truly reaching own potential Always seeing in others What not everyone could see It's taken years for me to realize Only after you've been gone Do I see what I should have That I have more to offer now

Dear Shannon,, i came to see your first poem..lol... already had my comment on it..plus more.. Than I'd seen this title. And told myself how the title speaks for it's self. I think, if we could speak tomorrow about today, life would still find a way to fade..i know i make no sense.. but, i have been given advice ,,, and woke up later regretting the facts.. that now I wish i had... this is a very nice poem..Thank you for sharing,..p.d.

Sometimes we don't realise what we had until it's gone, by then it's too late and we have to reflect....:)
